6. Season with salt, if necessary, and cook over medium heat, with the pot half-covered for about 20 minutes, or until the chicken is very tender.
7. Add the okra and continue to cook. Now if the stew is quite watery, bring it to a boil and let it dry a little more.
8. Finally, add the parsley. Then serve hot with rice.
